Role: Quality Engineer / SDET – AI & Automation (IC)

The Challenge

This is a hands‑on individual contributor role focused on buildingscalable automation and AI‑enabled quality solutions that ensure long‑term product stability and growth. The role works closely with Product and Engineering teams to understand features being developed and todesign and implement robust automation, performance, and AI‑driven tests that meet acceptance criteria.In addition to traditional automation, the role contributes toAI initiatives, applyingAI/ML frameworks and LLM integrations to improve test effectiveness, intelligent coverage, and actionable insights.As understanding of the product deepens, the role is expected to apply strong critical thinking, ask the right“what‑if” questions, and strengthen testing strategies using bothengineering principles and AI‑assisted approaches.The role emphasizescontinuous improvement, ensuring automation and AI‑enabled tests remain reliable, scalable, high‑signal, and aligned with real customer usage patterns.

Your Mission

  • Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
  • Translate manual test cases intoautomated and AI‑assisted tests within development sprints
  • Design, implement, execute, and maintainautomation and AI‑enabled test suites
  • UsePython, SQL, AI/ML frameworks, and LLM integrations to develop tools that improve operational excellence
  • Define and manage test data, AI inputs, and reports for functional and non‑functional requirements
  • Collaborate with Development, Product, and Operations teams to identify gaps and resolve issues early
  • Develop innovative acceptance tests for new components delivered through the pipeline
  • Participate in POCs to keep automation frameworks, AI tooling, and technologies current
  • Maintain clean, scalable, and reliable automation suites; remove noisy or low‑value tests
  • Communicate quality insights through reports, dashboards, and clear feedback
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence
  • Continuously experiment with modern technologies, AI techniques, and engineering best practices

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a Developer, Automation Engineer, SDET, or Performance Engineer
  • 2+ years of experience in automated testing and continuously deployed environments
  • Strong hands‑on experience withPython and SQL
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and LLM integrations (hands‑on or strong learning orientation)
  • Experience with API testing and automation (REST, Postman, REST Assured, SOAP)
  • Experience with UI automation (Selenium or equivalent)
  • Experience with database testing (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with Git‑based version control and Agile tools (Git, Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA)
Good to have:Backend and/or Frontend development experience, or strong passion to learn and contribute usingAI tools
