The Challenge 

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Jira Administrator to join our IT Operations team. This role will focus on delivering scalable solutions and continuous systems improvement within Jira and the broader Atlassian Cloud ecosystem to support service management, project management, and business operations use cases. As a subject matter expert, you'll collaborate with technical and business teams to build efficient, intuitive systems that supercharge execution, unlock visibility, and power seamless collaboration across OneTrust. 

Your Mission 

  • Lead the administration, configuration, and ongoing improvement of Jira and Jira Service Management to support business processes across the organization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design and implement scalable Jira solutions aligned to operational, project, and service delivery goals.
  • Design and maintain scalable configurations in Jira, including advanced workflows, custom fields, permissions, and automation.
  • Support integrations between Jira and other business-critical tools like Microsoft Teams, Confluence, and Oomnitza.
  • Act as a primary point of contact and escalation for Jira-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and long-term reliability.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for workflow optimization, automation, and best-practice adoption across the Atlassian ecosystem.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, standards, and operational procedures to ensure clarity and continuity.

You’re a proactive, highly technical Atlassian expert with a passion for designing clean, functional systems that scale with the business. You’re naturally detail-oriented and thrive in a highly autonomous environment where priorities can shift quickly. You bring a consultative, solutions-oriented mindset to every project, and you’re comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality. You think outside the box, enjoy mentoring others, and are constantly looking for ways to optimize and improve how work gets done. 

Your Experience Includes 

  • 4+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator or Atlassian Engineer creating custom solutions in a mid-to-large scale organization.
  • Strong background configuring Jira workflows, automation, permission schemes, and third-party app integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply business analysis principles to document requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and collaborate with stakeholders to define optimal solutions within Jira and related tools.
  • Strong experience with scripting and automation in Atlassian Cloud (e.g., Automation for Jira, REST APIs, webhooks, and Forge or Connect-based apps).
  • Deep expertise customizing Jira Service Management for ITSM use cases such as incident, problem, change, and asset management.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Product Discovery, and Atlassian Guard, including how they integrate with Jira to support collaboration and governance.
  • Experience supporting stakeholders across business and technical teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to document complex systems clearly and maintain audit-ready configurations. 

Extra Awesome 

  • Atlassian Certified Professional certification(s)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based IT infrastructure and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), Entra ID, and Oomnitza.
