After months of anticipation, the European Data Protection Board (‘EDPB’) is expected to release its finalized recommendations on how to carry out the required assessment of international data transfers post-Schrems II imminently. In what is considered to be one of the most important documents for the future of data transfers, this development will mark a turning point for international organizations.
