Gordy: Thank you, it’s an honor to be named a Channel Chief by CRN. I’ve been involved in indirect sales for more than five years now, and it’s been an incredible journey helping build OneTrust’s channel ecosystem. We had a number of impressive accomplishments in 2021, and I’m looking forward to taking our program to the next level in 2022.
How has OneTrust enhanced its partner offerings in 2021?
Gordy: We invested heavily in our partner program in 2021, with a key focus on enhancing, expanding, and centralizing our assets and communications with partners. We launched the OneTrust Partner Portal, Marketing Development Fund activities, the Partner Advantage webinar series, our LinkedIn community, and numerous sales enablement resources.
Customers are increasingly telling us they need assessments and advisory work alongside their implementations. In response to this, we incorporated managed services into our partner ecosystem, allowing our partners to increase sales opportunities by driving more advisory and consultative services.
Finally, we launched our practice development program for partners, which is a four-step journey including everything from certification through tech validation. Partners earn validated accreditation which signifies they’ve completed on-demand courses, certifications, onboarding, interactive methodology and scoping workshops, and finally shadowing. Partners who complete the program can earn more incentives from OneTrust.
How can OneTrust partners be successful in 2022?
Gordy: Our partners are the eyes and ears to our customers, and they see how trust is a competitive differentiator. They understand how different stakeholders across a business need to collaborate to achieve the best outcomes. To deliver ROI, programs across privacy, GRC, ethics and compliance, and ESG must not be siloed.
Therefore, it’s important for partners to invest in driving the entire journey of trust for our customers. OneTrust has created a holistic trust ecosystem – a true, singular platform to help organizations be more trusted across security, privacy, GRC, ethics, and ESG. By helping customers derive value from the entire platform, while also delivering white-glove advisory and consultancy services, partners can drive the demand to further grow their business.
We’re also increasing our investments in 2022 to deliver even more for our partners, creating a single destination where they can access all OneTrust tools and resources to drive customer engagement and solve customer challenges. Our partners can develop their practice areas, receive certifications, leverage MDF, access the vast OneTrust speaker session library, and more as they build trust into their business models.
Finally, success lies in delivering an exceptional customer experience. Since its inception, OneTrust has practiced our customers, partners, team members, and communities by always going the extra mile. As our partners become further integrated with the OneTrust platform, we hope they can extend this approach into their own sales motions.
What is your biggest goal for OneTrust in 2022?
Gordy: Our channel partners play a critical role in helping us define a new software category of trust. As we continue to establish market dominance, my goal will be to scale our partner program with the best learning, enablement, technology, and sales resources to create a robust channel ecosystem of OneTrust champions.
