DATA DISCOVERY

Meeting California's employee privacy rights requirements

When the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) takes effect on January 1, 2023, one of the most impactful changes the CPRA will introduce is the extension of individual privacy rights to employees.

Employee rights fulfillment poses unique challenges for organizations, as employee data can be found across email, documents, and other unstructured data types. To efficiently manage and fulfill employee requests within the 45-day timeline stipulated by the CPRA, businesses must know where employee personal information is held and be prepared to redact sensitive information.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • A summary of employee privacy rights across California, as well as other US states with privacy laws signed into effect including Virginia and Colorado
  • Steps to automating privacy rights fulfillment
  • Commonly automated employee rights workflows including file shares, HRIS, and email server integrations
