Last week, security professionals from all over the world made their way to Singapore for the IAPP Asia Privacy Forum and RSA Conference Asia Pacific & Japan.

It was a busy week for the OneTrust team, as CEO Kabir Barday participated in three speaking sessions and the OneTrust team networked with other privacy professionals at our booth at both events. There was lots to discuss, with the recent announcement of OneTrust Mobile App Consent and the new OneTrust California Consumer Act Initial Assessment.

At IAPP Asia Privacy Forum, Kabir Barday led a joint session with Rebecca Beard of Gilead Sciences, Mark Jaffe of Teleperformance and Guatam Kene of CA Technologies. In the session on data mapping, attendees learned tips for automating access requests, deletion and data portability through real case studies from privacy experts.

In his second session at IAPP Asia Privacy Forum, Kabir Barday and Johan Wisenborn of Novartis International AG, provided their insight on mapping APEC to the GDPR. Attendees learned how the APEC privacy framework will operate alongside the GDPR, practical tips for streamlining privacy programs while operating in Asia-Pacific and European regions and real case studies from privacy experts on how to tackle APEC cross-border privacy rules.

Kabir Barday also led a session on GDPR during day two of the RSA Conference Asia Pacific & Japan.

Thanks to all who stopped by the booth at one or both events and met us and those who attended Kabir Barday’s speaking sessions.
