Bond University is a private, independent, and not-for-profit institution located on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Bond University’s website is managed by a lean but strategic team within the broader Marketing department. The Website team is supported by a cross-departmental Website Working Group, consisting of stakeholders from Marketing and ITS, enabling an agile, collaborative approach to digital experience and compliance. Key focus areas for this team include:

  • Ensuring strong governance and ongoing compliance

Australian privacy reform demands change

The OAIC’s guidance on tracking pixels and privacy obligations, published in late 2024, underscored the need for a compliant, automated, and user-centric consent management system. 

 The university sought a platform that could:

  • Empower users with cookie preference controls
  • Align with evolving global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CPRA)
  • Deliver a seamless experience without interrupting the digital journey
