How to Comply: German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and Forthcoming EU Rules

The German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) comes into effect on Jan. 1, 2023 and will immediately impact any company with 3,000 or more employees domiciled in Germany. What’s more, a broader EU corporate sustainability due diligence Directive is in the works, with the draft law currently sitting with the European Parliament for approval. Together, these two legislations are destined to upend the way European organisations, and to an extent, non-European organisations, manage their supply chains.
The new requirements enforce global corporate accountability and due diligence with the aim of eliminating the adverse impact companies have on human rights, environmental risks and labour rights globally. In this webinar, we’ll discuss the necessities for compliance with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and how to prepare for the forthcoming EU rules.
A few agenda highlights:
- Overview of the regulations as well as the requirements and differences
- Best practices from leading Ethics & Compliance practitioners
- Readiness pointers for avoiding supply chain disruption
- Q&A and discussion of the new supply chain due diligence landscape
