The 7 Principles of the GDPR

The GDPR defines seven principles relating to the processing of personal data under Article 5. The seven principles of the GDPR closely resemble the principles outlined in 1980 by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development Guidelines on the Protection of Privacy and Transborder Flows of Personal Data (OECD Guidelines). However, they are as relevant today as when legislators first issued them.
These fundamental principles for processing personal data should be considered within every processing activity that a business performs and be at the core of every GDPR compliance program.
