Preparing for the CPRA: 5 Things To Do Right Now

Resource CPRA

The California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) will enter into effect on January 1, 2023 and, with the exception of the right of access, it will apply to personal information collected by a business on or after January 1, 2022. In spite of the timeframe for compliance, there are several new requirements that organizations are already preparing for.

In this webinar recording, OneTrust DataGuidance is joined by Odia Kagan, Partner and Chair of GDPR Compliance & International Privacy at Fox Rothschild LLP, to present an overview of the new requirements the CPRA introduces and the top things organizations can begin doing right now to prepare for its enforcement.

Key Takeaways Include:

  • Overview of the data collection and minimization requirements under the CPRA
  • Understanding of DPIAs and which processing activities carry “heightened risk”
  • Types of Employee DSARs and how to prepare for the fulfillment of requests
