OneTrust Integrates Mobile App Consent Solution into the OneTrust Platform

Consumers are turning to their mobile devices to access webpages now more than ever. Based on research from IAB Europe, Europeans are accessing webpages from their mobile devices 42% of the time. As consumers continue to exponentially use mobile devices for the web, it is imperative for organizations to attain mobile app consent to comply with global privacy regulations.

To help organizations maintain mobile compliance, OneTrust has announced the Mobile App Consent solution. Available in August, the new solution integrates mobile consent and preference management into the OneTrust Marketing Compliance suite. OneTrust Mobile App Consent lets companies demonstrate user consent on mobile apps, allowing them to demonstrate compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ePrivacy Directive, the California Consumer Privacy Act and other global privacy regulations.

OneTrust Mobile App Consent is integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework  and allows companies to deliver targeted mobile ads based on the user’s consent preferences. This new solution helps companies integrate a variety of consent preference capabilities into native mobile apps including capturing consent prior to the user accessing the app or when the user is accessing a certain app feature that requires access to an additional set of data. Additionally, consent history is synched and maintained in a central database with a dashboard and metrics.

OneTrust Mobile App Consent integrates completely into the OneTrust Universal Consent and preference Management solution, providing a seamless consent experience across an organization’s mobile and web platforms.
